Meet Marc LeMaire

Mr. LeMaire teaches studio art to 6th, 7th, 8th, 11th and 12th graders and Art History to 11th and 12th graders. His artistic background includes work with ceramics, oil painting, drawing, printmaking and furniture design.

When asked what has delighted or surprised him about Trinity, Mr. LeMaire shared: “One day in Physics, seniors were learning E = mc². That same day in Art History we covered Wassily Kandinsky, who was trying to paint in a way that was inspired by Einstein’s theory. It was great to make the connection with the Physics teacher ahead of time and invite the students to contemplate the connections between art and science.”
He also mentioned: “Since every student takes courses that can often be electives in other schools, Trinity gives students the opportunity to develop an appreciation for subjects they otherwise might never have explored. Students are challenged in a way that encourages ownership over their education and that promotes a desire to learn.”
