The Seniors studying Art History had the chance to experience the artwork they have been studying in person during our MIA field trip. Each of them have been writing a formal analysis of a 20th century work of art currently on display at the museum. After seeing their artworks in person, many commented on the vibrancy of color, the intensity of brushwork, or just the sheer scale of the artwork. Students also had a chance to sit with an unfamiliar artwork and explore the ideas and qualities within it.
