It’s Shark Week in 9th grade biology! Students are learning about fish anatomy by dissecting dogfish. Dissection allows them to engage all of their senses, especially smell, as they feel the texture of the liver, follow the path of the digestive system, and look at shark skin under the microscope. With four pregnant sharks, students also got to see shark eggs and baby sharks!
