Ever wondered what it would be like to live on a 19th-century farm?

The 6th graders experienced the sights, smells, sounds, and activities of an 1860s family farm on last week’s field trip to the Oliver Kelley Farm in Elk River. They participated in essential farm work, met a variety of farm animals, and helped prepare foods like those that Minnesotans ate 150 years ago.
