On Tuesday, Dr. Marnie Peterson from the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy spoke to Trinity students about her research in the field of staph infections. She described her successful experiments with staph biofilms towards reducing the toxicity of staph infections, as well as the challenges scientists face in bio-medical research. Students and faculty alike appreciated the wealth of information, and many seniors met with Dr. Peterson afterwards during lunch to explore the topics further.
