Senior boys are beginning their study of quantum theory in Physics by looking at the emission spectrum of rarefied gases. This week they looked at four tubes, each filled with a different gas. The tubes emit light at discrete frequencies (colors) when a large voltage is applied.

This week the ninth graders explored the anatomy of grass frogs. This is their first time dissecting an organism with lungs and a bony skeleton. They noted the muscles needed for jumping, the highly vascularized intestines and tongues that attach at the front of the mouth.
