Mike Wacker teaches Humane Letters to 9th grade boys and Lit/Comp to 8th grade boys. A 1999 River Ridge graduate, Mr. Wacker taught at Trinity from 2003-06 before returning this year.
When asked about what he loves about teaching, Mr. Wacker shared “I love it when a student’s face lights up with understanding, and he is able to explain to his classmates what he has just figured out. I love the back and forth conversation with students. I also enjoy getting to know the students in class, in the hallways, through the art they produce and by watching their games and performances. Each one of them is unique and unrepeatable. ”
He also share that he has been delighted by “The seniors this year and the leadership they have provided to the school. They have faithfully and joyfully carried on the traditions that have developed over the years. I was very pleased to see that the TOBE tournament lives on. The Trinity Outdoor Basketball Extravaganza (TOBE) was started over 25 years ago by my classmate, Sean Ryan. “
