Trinity’s FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) robotics team takes their robot for a test drive through the Commons. The team has been working since early January to complete the robot for the FIRST Robotics Competition in March. Robotics is both a high school varsity sport and a business. The 17 member team is responsible not only for building and programming the robot but also for handling public relations tasks such as marketing, soliciting funding and creating a web page for the team. The team has been working hard and, of course, having a lot of fun. The competition, The Ultimate Ascent Challenge, is in Duluth March 7 – 9. Good luck!
