There’s something different about Trinity School.
You can feel it when you set foot on campus. You might hear voices singing through the open windows or see a faculty member playing soccer with the ninth-grade boys at recess. You might overhear a conversation between a seventh-grader and a tenth-grader about their weekend, or a heated debate on human freedom or the love of God spill out from a Humane Letters classroom.
When the fit is right, students flourish here. To help you determine if Trinity is the place for you, we invite you to explore our website. Watch some videos, examine our curriculum, and learn about the application process. Come for a visit, too! If you like what you see, please contact us. We look forward to meeting you personally and thank you for your interest in our school.
Sincerely,
Catherine Mulvey

Why a core curriculum?
Why are girls and boys taught separately?
The majority of our courses are taught in single-sex classrooms. Whenever possible, our male faculty teach boys and female faculty teach girls.
These practices help eliminate the natural distraction of adolescence in the classroom, foster a healthy girls’ culture and boys’ culture alongside the co-ed culture, and allow us to adapt our classroom to some of the ways in which boys and girls might learn differently.
What is the application process?
Our first application deadline is November 15, 2022. Click here to learn more about the application process and begin an application.
What athletic programs do you have?
What is your daily schedule?
8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., with an optional faculty-monitored study hall from 3:30-5:00 p.m.
Why do you de-emphasize grades?
Grades have become an increasingly dominant part of a child’s education. But excessive concern for grades and scores among students increases anxiety, fosters unhealthy comparison, and actually decreases a student’s intrinsic desire to learn.
While we recognize that grades are a part of the educational landscape, we avoid directly communicating with students using the language of grades. Students need real input on their work, not just numbers indicating how they performed. Our evaluation helps students answer the questions, “What do I know, and what don’t I know?” “What do I already understand?” “Which skills have I mastered, and which need work?”
