Following their recorder concert, the 7th grade class competed in the annual J. S. Bach Competition. During the weeks leading up to the concert and competition, each student prepared a piece for performance. These pieces exceeded the pieces they had learned earlier in the semester in both difficulty and length.
The competition was adjudicated by Mrs. Karen Edge, the Wind & Jazz Ensemble director and by Mrs. Theresa Arlien, ’10, a licensed music therapist. Congratulations to the winners: for the girls class 1st: Katharine, 2nd: Sophia, 3rd: Laura; for the boys class 1st: Leif, 2nd: Jonathan, 3rd: Benjamin
