The Winter’s Tale is the story of two kingdoms, Sicilia and Bohemia, whose kings have long been united in friendship. However, the tragedy begins to unfold when King Leontes’ jealousies overwhelm his reason, and he accuses his honorable wife of being unfaithful.
When a trial is held to clear the queen’s name, the king denies the oracle from Apollo, the queen dies, their infant daughter is banished, the king’s servant is eaten by a bear – all seems lost! How can wrongs be righted, relationships restored, and what is lost be found? Only time will tell.
