Four times a year faculty members at Trinity gather for official faculty seminars to discuss something they have read, viewed or experienced together.
This semester, the faculty will be reading Robin Wilson’s FOUR COLORS SUFFICE: HOW THE MAP PROBLEM WAS SOLVED.
The book tells the story of one of the more intriguing theorems in mathematics — that any map can be drawn using only four colors so that no two countries next to each other are of the same color.
