Seventh Grade Ancient History students dive into cuneiform and cylinder seals

Our seventh-grade ancient history students have been replicating what school boys in Mesopotamia (circa 2500 BC) would have been doing — learning how to write Sumerian cuneiform on clay tablets and “signing” their document with a cylinder seal!

The clay cylinders are each imprinted with a unique design meant to serve as an official, documentable, personal signature on contracts, agreements and invoices.
