Luke Goetzke ’04 Lecture on Dark Matter Detection

Imagine trying to find a specific grain of sand in the entire Sahara Desert…

That’s a lot like dark matter detection, according to Luke Goetzke (Trinity Class of 2004, Ph.D. in Astrophysics from Columbia). Luke spent part of his graduate work in Italy, under a mountain, on a dark matter detection experiment. He returned to Trinity today as part of our regular Lecture & Performance Series to deliver a lecture to students, faculty and staff.
