Yesterday, the student body heard a lecture given by Rob Owen, Senior Program Manager at PaR Systems, who helped design robotic cranes to aid in the ongoing cleanup of Chernobyl. It was a fascinating look into the fallout from on of the world’s most extreme nuclear disasters and into the remarkable work of those still working to contain the damage.
