How do you lift something twice as heavy as you? What allowed the Romans to capture an impregnable Israeli stronghold in 74 AD? What can you possibly construct with popsicle sticks and bottle caps?
Participants explored these ideas and more at Trinity’s Simple Machines Workshop this past Saturday. They were given the opportunity to not only construct their own machine models that double as toys, but to also become attentive to the ways in which truly “simple” objects fill our world and aid and improve human work.
