Trinity School is one school, with three campuses. To reinforce that unity, the Trinity School at River Ridge Women’s Varsity Soccer team traveled to South Bend, IN last week for fun, fellowship and friendly competition against their counterparts from Trinity School at Greenlawn.

The team drove from Eagan to South Bend on Wednesday, 6/14, with a quick stop in rain-swept Chicago. Thursday bought tours of the Greenlawn campus and Notre Dame, followed by a quick practice. The day concluded with a fantastic pool party/cook-out at the Trumble’s.

Friday opened with the much-anticipated game between the squads, both vying to take home the innaugural “Trinity Cup”, hand crafted for the occasion. River Ridge prevailed 2-0 in a close and spirited game.

A picnic and joint practice followed, then an evening enjoying dinner downtown and a stroll along the River Walk, and finally a farewell lawn party hosted by the Raciti’s. Saturday the team headed home, with some new friends, new experiences, and a new appreciation for this unique and special experience of a Trinity education.

A huge thank you to all the chaperone/drivers, Greenlawn families who opened their homes to host the team, and the Greenlawn girls for their hospitality and camaraderie!
