Yesterday Trinity School students and faculty were sucked together into the vortex of learning.

Arriving for a typical day of classes, students were treated to an event first held last year, Das Lernvergnügenfest (German for “the festival for the enjoyment of learning”).

Students signed up for special courses throughout the day from an array of options, including a recreation of Giotto’s Arena Chapel, a seminar on the Medieval view of “faeries,” and a further exploration of the poetry written by this semester’s Lecture and Performance Series lecturer, Minnesota poet laureate Joyce Sutphen. There were also hands-on learning opportunities like turning a room into a 3D graph, learning about Indian food in the kitchen, and constructing an optical illusion in chalk on the driveway outside (photo included!)
