During their project week, Trinity School at River Ridge seniors built balsa-wood bridges which were tested to failure. Videos of the testing yielded information on the mechanism of failure, information that they then use to build a better bridge. Second bridges were tested during this first week of this semester.
Watch for the moment slow-motion collapse and see if you can catch the mechanism of failure!
A few bridges have been saved to undergo testing during the Open House next Thursday, January 26. Come on over and see for yourself in real time!
