Congratulations to sophomore Katie Mulvey, who took first place in this year’s Class A Section One individual tennis tournament.
Katie, currently ranked fourth in the state, defeated sixth ranked Cindy Li of Cotter High in the section finals 6-3, 7-5.
Katie was also recently named this year’s recipient of the Jerry Noyce Sportsmanship Award for the United States Tennis Association’s entire Northern Region.
She’ll next be in action at the MSHSL Class A individual state meet Oct. 27-28 at the Reed-Sweatt Tennis Center, Minneapolis.
