Happy das Lernvergnügenfest!
Trinity School at River Ridge students arrived this morning prepared for a normal slate of classes, but were met after morning prayer with the announcement of das Lernvergnügenfest, the festival for the enjoyment of learning!
For weeks faculty have been planning a day of presentations on topics as diverse as Fyodor Dostoyevsky’s prison memoirs, the Tolkien’s history of the rings of power, the poetry and poetics of Bob Dylan, introductions to the Sanskrit and Italian languages, the Golden Ratio and three dimensional mathematical graphing. Overall, nearly a hundred distinct classes will be offered!
Students spent the first half hour of the day joyfully signing up for morning courses, and das Lernvergnügenfest is off and running!
