Last Thursday, Trinity seniors toured the respiratory laboratory at St. Paul College. The respiratory lab trains medical personnel on the physics, diseases and treatments of the respiratory system. The students held a functioning pig lung, listened to breathing in mannikins simulating bronchitis and emphysema, and testing their breathing. Dr. John Buhain, director of the lab, also gave a lecture on the physics of the lung, to tie into the physics course at River Ridge.
